Iraq is free from Saddam’s tyranny.

But of course the Iraqi people didn’t wish to be freed from torture and tyranny, or they would have done it themselves, right?

Well, it's not like they didn't try to do it themselves. You remember the end of the first Gulf War, right? Was there a particular reason why the US were preventing the Kurds from getting to their weapons and supplies?
