Start’em young, I say.
And yes, this means there will be a little phisch swimming in our pod later this year.

Yes, our little one is expected to arrive the first week of October. Hopefully by the end of May we'll have had our ultrasound and know what to expect! :D

w00t! :D
Silly story: I was looking through another state's newspaper and came across the births column. Above one poor kid's name, it had "A NEW DEMON!!"
The Demons are a football team, as it turned out, but it took me a couple of minutes to figure that one out.

Oh yeah: is it your first, have you picked names, etc etc gushing female questions about babystuff here? ;)

Are the Demons a soccer (football) team or an Australian-rules football team? I have heard the name before, believe it or not; I cannot recall which sport, however. I think my favorite team down under has to be the Blacks from your Kiwi neighbors. That's really just because I heard so much about them from my sister, who spent a year in Auckland and other towns in NZ.
Technically, you could say our first was lost in miscarriage at 10 weeks (2001). But yes, this would be our first child! :)
We have a list of names we're working from, separated by gender, of course. We're still taking suggestions (though I'm not sure if Raena would make it past the Mommy Monitor ;) Current favorites for a boy: Matthew Ryan, Erik Cole, as well as Joshua, Jacob, or Jonah, with myriad middle names to choose from. Current favorites for a girl: Emily Grace, Natalie Grace (we like Grace as a middle name), and Rachel Elizabeth.
The two weekends prior to last were spent crib & furniture shopping. Daddy has been tasked with removing his boxes of books and comics from what will be the nursery. New bookshelves in the formal living room will be soon filled with the nicer volumes from said boxes.
The Stars outfit is the baby's first outfit. My parents sent us, during the last pregnancy, what will be baby's first set of cowboy boots. Little white leather cowboy boots; they are adorable! They were mine when I was a wee phisch.
My grandmother has already knitted about a half dozen different items for her first great-grandbaby. My mother-in-law has provided the first stuffed animals from outside the parental units (I've been accumulating some items over the years since we've been married).
I can't think of any other potential gushing female babystuff questions that I could answer at this point, but feel free to ask! :D

The Demons are Aussie rules. :)
Go little phisch go! :D Those are great names.
Even if Raena made it past the Mommy monitor, bad idea! Raenas need to get accustomed to being called 'Ree-anna," Reena, Renee, and the classic I got from the optometrist last time: "Are you sure you spelled your name right, sweetie?" (Yes thankyou ma'am, I think after over twenty years of practice I got it right.)
All that excitement! Enjoy your last few months of peace and quiet. :)
