I’ve been futzing around with OSXvnc on my Cube and Chicken of the VNC on my PowerBook, and I cannot get the latter to connect to the former. Is anyone out there using this combination, and can offer guidance? Or recommend a different VNC client?

Don't ask me why, but try setting OSXvnc to port 5900 and open 5959 in your firewall. Finally, keep in mind that I used VNC for a while and Timbuktu is far better. Not perfect, but better.

Thanks, Lee. VNCViewer worked like a champ, once I got the proper ports opened in the firewall, and made the appropriate port change to OSXvnc. My only druther is that I thought once the VNC server was running, I could quit the OSXvnc app. If I do this, however, VNCViewer balks on the PowerBook and loses the connection.
I much prefer Timbuktu as well, but am trying to find a legitimate open-source (viz: free as in beer) alternative.
