On track

This past Friday Davis had his visit with the developmental pediatrician. According to the nurse practitioner, he’s doing great, and developmentally is around the 4-month mark. Adjusted for his premature birth, he is in the 98th percentile for both height and weight, and in the 75th percentile for head size. We’ll get the actual percentages when he goes in to see his regular pediatrician in a couple of weeks, as Dr. Dutton looks at both adjusted and unadjusted percentages.

All in all, Davis is doing just wonderful. His personality is blossoming, he’s pretty much always happy and smiling, and only gets cranky when he has a dirty diaper, is hungry, or is just so tired that he refuses to sleep. God continues to bless us with a healthy child!

Spitting image

Dad and Davis arrived a little before Mom at Olive Garden yesterday for lunch. Davis got a little fussy in his car seat, so Dad was holding him and together they were looking over the menu when Mom came in.

Sitting down across from Dad and Davis, Mom pauses for a second, then remarks, “He is just the spitting image of you!”

Yes, Dad couldn’t disavow Davis as his child even if he wanted to. This makes Dad very, very happy…
