Today is Davis’s first birthday. It’s hard to believe our little tyke was born nine weeks premature, and only weighed 3 pounds, 9 ounces upon his arrival. He is now a whopping 24 pounds, fully mobile thanks to crawling, and has learned that bouncing balls of various shapes and sizes is one of his favorite activities.
We held a birthday party at the house, the first of many swimming birthday parties, we’re sure. The house is full of family: Grandma and Grandpa Turner, Grandpa Bucky, Nannie (Chris’s grandmother), and Aunts Angela and Tresa (Chris’s and Kelly’s sisters, respectively). A host of our friends and their kids celebrated with us, and we thank them all for sharing this very special day with us.
This birthday cake is no match for me! More sugar! More flour! Bring it on!
